Day 1 · Arrive in the wild
Settle into your lodge, meet the team and ask about joining the afternoon drive. Return for dinner and a restful evening.
Day 2 · Follow the ranger
Join the morning and afternoon game drives. Between outings, enjoy meals and time on your deck; enquire about a walking safari or spa appointment.
Day 3 · A final morning
If departure arrangements allow, ask about a final morning drive. Enjoy breakfast and prepare to leave your chalet by 11:00.
Vehicles and wildlife
Open Land Rover safaris
Pumba’s rangers guide guests through the reserve in open Land Rovers. Walking safaris are also described by Pumba; eligibility and arrangements must be confirmed.
Wildlife highlights
The reserve is home to the Big 5 and its free-roaming white and tawny lion pride. Look for giraffe, antelope and birdlife along the way, without any promise of a particular sighting.
Children under six are not permitted on normal Big 5 game drives. Ask Pumba about suitable family arrangements.
